Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today uncovered the bronze statue recently President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam at DRDO Complex here on the event of his 84th conception commemoration.
"It is a matter of pride to uncover the statue of Kalam who was an extraordinary humanist. He used to stay in a little room in DRDO as researcher and led numerous rocket tests at ISRO," the CM said on the event.
The prestigious Missile Complex, which houses research units of DRDO, was renamed after Kalam in vicinity of Defense Minister Manohar Parrikar.
